Dust Circuit
four desert stages, one ghost car, and a lap timer that will not shut up

About
top-down rally against your own ghost. four hand-built desert stages, one car, and a lap that keeps arguing with your last one.
the handling is the whole game. it runs a real tyre model, so pushing past the limit actually breaks the rear loose instead of just feeling floaty. catchable if you are quick with the wheel.
built it because most racing games make understeer feel like a bug instead of a fact of life.

How to play
W or Up arrow: throttle. S or Down: brake, and reverse from a standstill. A/D or Left/Right: steer. SPACE: handbrake. A short stab rotates the car into a tight corner. SHIFT: spend drift boost. R: instant restart on the line. ESC or P: pause. M: mute. Enter or click to advance menus; the mouse works on the stage select too.
Strategy: the throttle is a steering control. If the car is running wide, come off it for a moment and the nose will tuck in; if it is not rotating enough into a hairpin, a brief stab of handbrake on the way in will do what the steering will not. Brake in a straight line first, then release as you turn. Trail the brake in and the front will keep biting.
