Voidbreak
Hold the ring against escalating waves, and draft one of three upgrades between every one of them.

About
Voidbreak is a twin-stick survival arena. You move with WASD, aim and fire with the mouse, and dash through danger on a short cooldown that makes you briefly untouchable. Waves of enemies come at you until they kill you.
The enemies are not the same enemy in different sizes. Drifters chase, lancers hang back and telegraph a shot before they take it, splitters break into smaller angrier pieces, brutes are plated across the front and have to be shot from behind, sentinels spray rotating spirals, and motes swarm. Waves escalate by changing what shows up, not by adding more of the same thing.
Between every wave you pick one of three upgrades from a pool of twenty-two. Some are simple: more damage, more projectiles, another dash charge. Some interact — bounced shots that gain damage per bounce only matter if you also took ricochet, kills that arc lightning get much louder next to cores that make every corpse explode, and a drone build stops being cute once it is a drone build. Nobody hand-authored those combinations; they fall out of the stats.
A run is five to ten minutes. A competent player gets somewhere around wave eight to twelve before the arithmetic catches up. Your best run is kept locally and shown against the current one when you die.
All the art is drawn procedurally on canvas and every sound is synthesised in the browser. There are no image or audio files in the build.

How to play
W A S D — move. Mouse — aim; hold left button to fire continuously. Space or right-click — dash. You cannot be hit during the dash, and the input is buffered, so pressing it slightly early still works. Esc or P — pause. M — mute. R — restart from the pause or death screen. 1 / 2 / 3 or click — choose an upgrade between waves.
Strategy: the dash is a defensive tool first — spend it to pass through a wall of enemy fire rather than to travel. Brutes take almost no damage from the front, so circle behind them instead of trading. And commit to a build: two upgrades that combine beat four that do not.
