Wickwood
Carry one lantern seven floors down. Its oil is your light, your weapon and your life.

About
Wickwood is a turn based roguelike built for ten minute runs. You are a lantern bearer descending seven floors of a candle lit forest to relight the Wickwood heart. Nothing moves until you do.
Oil is the whole game. It is your health, it is how far you can see, and it drains one point every single turn you are alive. Swinging the lantern at something costs extra. Flasks, shrines and the oil that spills out of a dying enemy are the only way back up. Standing still is not safe, and neither is running.
Every enemy shows you the exact tile it will move to next, so a bad turn is your fault and not the dice. Moths walk straight at you. Stumps freeze the moment you look down a line at them and lurch two tiles when you look away. Spiders leap and leave webbing that costs you a turn. Hollows line up a lane and charge down the whole thing.
You pick one relic at the start and it shapes the run: a bigger tank, harder strikes, a wick that only drinks every other turn, a trail of fire behind your heels. One pouch slot holds one consumable. There is a second relic offer at depth four, and no second chances anywhere else.
Death is permanent. The run counter and your best depth are kept. Reaching the heart is not the end of it, you still have to stand on the thing for three turns while the wood wakes up around you.

How to play
Arrow keys or WASD to step one tile. Walk into an enemy to strike it. Space waits one turn. E uses the item in your pouch. Esc or P pauses, M mutes, R starts a new run from the death screen.
Every turn burns one oil and the light shrinks as the oil does, so a detour you cannot afford is how most runs end. Read the intent markers before you commit: the amber and coloured tiles are where each enemy is going, and a red tile with a ring around you means you are about to be hit. Step out of the lane rather than trading blows, and keep a stump in a straight line from your lantern to hold it still while you walk past.
